ANSI Z80.1 is now officially known as ANSI Z80.1-2005. The newest revision of Z80.1 was approved by ANSI with an effective date of December 19,2005. The Optical Laboratories Association (OLA) Technical Director, Dan Torgersen is preparing a newsletter with an analysis of Z80.1-2005. His report describes the new specifications of Z80.1.2005 including the expected reductions in cylinder axis error and in refractive power error in progressive lenses.
